Do I Have to Learn Grammar?
In reality you don't have to know anything about grammar in order to learn a new language. Children when they grow up know no grammar and still they learn to perfect a language.
Being in an environment where the language is spoken - and you are, more or less, forced into speaking it on a daily basis - could teach you to master the language within a year.
However, grammar for people that want to learn a new language is an excellent tool to speed up the learning process, especially, if you are not surrounded by people using the language every day.
