Typically, breakfast (morgenmad) in Denmark consists of bread and/or cereal, coffee and tea.

Sunday mornings are popular with the Danes. In a lot of Danish families this is a lovely and 'hyggelig' time where the immediate family gather around for wienerbrød (Danish pastries ), rundstykker (bread rolls), coffee and juice.

Danish bakeries open early Sunday morning, 6am or maybe even earlier, and you will often see a queue of people lining up to buy fresh bread rolls and Danish pastries.
