Question Structure

In the sentence structure for questions you put the verb before the subject as in: Sover du? ([lit: sleep you?]).

The word order is:

V = Verb (the action)
S = Subject (the do'er)
IO = Indirect Object (and to whom)
DO = Direct Object (what/who is 'actioned')

V	S	IO	DO
Giver	du	hende	blomsterne?
[lit: give	you	her	the flowers?]

However, you can have a normal structure and still pose it is as a question if you add ikke at the end.

S	V	IO	DO	ADV NEG
Du	giver	hende	blomsterne,	ikk'?
[lit: you	give	her	the flowers,	not (no)?]
